Tall Bed Frames

Tall bed frames are, for some people, the deciding factor for a bed set. They provide another storage space for everything one owns without taking up foot space because the new storage area is under the bed. Thousands, if not millions, of people take advantage of the space under their beds to either hide what they don’t want to be seen or keep what they want to remember forever. Tall bed frames make this dream a reality, and make life better for the many that purchase them.

Many people think that tall frames are only for normal, level mattresses. This, however, is a common misconception. There are also larger frames for adjustable beds, like the plethora provided by Leggett & Platt. This company also supplies many components to mattress companies that manufacture the mattresses that people put on these frames. This also applies to all reclining beds, also known by some as recliners.

Some think that getting a taller frame might make it more difficult to find sheets that fit the bed. However, this idea is completely unfounded. Sheet sizes are based on the mattress itself, and have nothing to do with the frame. Therefore, one must be more concerned with whether the mattress is a twin or a king in size, rather than whether the frame is tall or short.

Tall frames have varying heights, depending on the company that sells them and what consumers seem to want at that point in time. One of the taller products on the market at the moment is the Accent Contour Rest Cal King-Size Steel Foundation Bed Frame. This frame is fourteen inches tall, providing a great deal of space under the bed. It’s also 71 inches wide and 83 inches long, resulting in a total under-the-bed space of nearly 48 square feet. This is more than enough space to store just about anything one could need. Indeed, the space used by most people who store things under their beds is usually about half that.

There is a danger to these frames, though. At such a height, if one is inclined to move around in his or her sleep, falling from the bed could actually cause some injury, especially if one did not make sure everything was completely under the bed. This height can also be dangerous for children. Of course, it could also be difficult for children to climb into a bed that high, so that mediates this issue a bit.

However, for the majority of the American population, a high bed is often the most desirable. Not only does it provide a place to store stuff, it also provides for a sense of security and isolation. It helps create the idea that the bed is a place to be alone, or, for many, a place to spend time with the one they love most. A tall frame and a Tempur-Pedic, then, is the dream of many, and constitute quite possibly the best mattress-frame combination. Either way, a tall bed frame often makes life better and easier.
